Program Idea: Church Leadership and Roles

I have read this program idea somewhere and tried to recreate it with my own idea.

Divide congregation into groups of 5-8 people. Assign a church office/department to each group. Example of church offices/department: Deacons, Deaconess, Welfare, Sabbath School, Adventist Youth, Ministerial, Women’s Department, Laymen’s Ministry, Music Department, Treasury, Pastoral Office, Church Board and Church Maintenance and etc…

Give groups 5-10 minutes to discuss the importance and significance of each departments to the local church and the community.

Also discuss the qualifications of each members of the departments, the responsibilities and the authority. Emphasize the need for unity and cooperation and on never losing focus on glorifying God.

Opt to present in front the summary of the group discussions.

End with a congregational prayer for the whole church the leaders and the members to continue to work to glorify God until Jesus’ soon return.

Note: You can use the book “Seventh Day Adventist’s Believe”, “Christian Leadership”, and other references by Sis. Ellen G. White.

Hoping that our churches grow and continues to be a blessing,

Chummie
