Program Idea: Bridging Gaps

Image result for bridging generation gap

Hello everyone.

The following program idea is shared by Sis. Maricel. They had the following group dynamic program during their AY Program at their local church.

Separate congregation into groups. to whichever is applicable, for example, Parents on one group, Youth (teenagers/young adults) on another group, even Grandparents on one group…

They AY Leader could prepare ahead of time some questions or topics to be answered by each group. Or in Sis. Maricel’s case, they had a flowing program  by allowing each group to ask the other groups.

Sample Question/Topics:

  1. Why is it hard to obey?
  2. Homosexuality
  3. School and Dating
  4. Career Choices
  5. Keeping the faith
  6. Depression and Mental health
  7. The use of time/social media
  8. Recreations best for a the Adventist Youth

There is a wide gap on ideas between generations these days, which then creates subtle conflicts between family members. It is important that we address these gaps and find ways to understand each other.

Let us all be a blessing.
